Puddings & Toyboys

A blog about my beautiful budgies.

Aerial display

This morning there was a lovely aerial display put on by some house martins.

They were swooping & diving all across the back of the flats, coming close to the lounge window too.  Raspy was fascinated & stayed on the window perch watching & ducking each time they came close.  Strangely, the toyboys chickened out & watched the display from the safety of the Manor’s landing platform.  (Atilla was on her ttmss swing).

They looked very much like house martins but I may be mistaken given they were flying so fast.  For more information you can take a look at the RSPB website: http://www.rspb.org.uk/wildlife/birdguide/name/h/housemartin/

How lovely! Raspy’s so sensitive compared with some of her Manor-mates. Well, compared with ONE of her Manor-mates.

I think it was housemartins I had nesting just outside my front door in the alleyway 2 or 3 years back. I must send you the (very bad) pic I took of them some time …
