Puddings & Toyboys

A blog about my beautiful budgies.

How to thank a budgie or budgies?

As a thank you to Ian & Marshall for sending such a wonderful treat, Atilla suggested we dedicate a post to a topic close to their (Marshall’s particularly) heart.

T   r   i   l   l       T   o   p   p   e   r   s

Or more precisely, the demise of Trill Toppers in the UK.

A petition has been set up here: http://www.petitiononline.co.uk/petition/save-our-budgies-trill-toppers/4387

The decision by Mars Incorporated to no longer sell Trill Toppers in the country potentially affects every single budgie.  Some budgies (naming no names, Marshall) are heavily dependent on this product & will suffer greatly due to it being discontinued.  In fact Ian & Marshall’s mama has resorted to buying abroad in order keep her birds in the manner they are accustomed to.

The toyboys are not sure what all the fuss is about but this lack of empathy is not their fault as they have never set eyes on a Trill Topper, let alone eaten one.  I know this reflects badly on me as their mama, but given Mars Incorporated’s decision I am pleased my neglect in this area means the lads are not suffering now.  Atilla however, fondly remembers the old days when she & her sister Raspy used to have a Trill Topper on special occasions.  It is this memory that made her think of the potential hardship her friends & followers may be going through.

We hope many people sign this petition & Mars Incorporated will review their decision & reintroduce Trill Toppers.

How kind of your budgies to think of all those poor little birds that are without Trill Toppers. I do hope that Mars reconsider their hasty decision.

Marshall is particularly grateful to Atilla for her great sensitivity, but he wouldn’t expect otherwise! Enquiries have been made up & down the country and it appears that there are a lot of VERY ANGRY budgie owners and VERY ANGRY pet-shop owners around!
