Atilla’s song

Atilla had her own song, “Lavender Blue“.

I used to sing it to her when she was not well or during the car journey to the vet.  The song caught my attention as her cheek patches were a light, lavender blue colour & of course she was green.

The lyrics were changed slightly to make more sense.  For example, instead of “dilly dilly”, I sang “‘Tilly, ‘Tilly“.  Instead of “I’ll need a queen”, I sang “You are our queen“.

A couple of weeks before she passed on, another song came into my head – “To Know Her is to Love Her“.  No need to explain why that song seemed appropriate…

How fitting that Atila should have two songs. She was indeed important.

Gene Vincent is causing a lot of shouting amongst the sausages … Let’s see how they respond to the Beatles …

They were too busy stuffing their faces to comment on the Beatles but I enjoyed it at least.
