Last month I noticed Frediano was limping. He must have landed on his left foot in a detrimental way. As far as I could tell, the foot looked okay – no bruising or swelling. He was able to grip with it but was hobbling & getting about was laborious. He strongly favoured his right foot.
This looked like a case of time healing, so I added some turmeric & cayenne pepper to his water to, hopefully, speed up the healing process. Gradually, it has improved, until today it is barely noticeable that there was a problem. (Before & after videos at the end of this post).
Not long after his foot problem happened, Frediano started moulting. His head took the hit, with lots of pin feathers. He has been less active during this time, but in reasonably good spirits – still eating, still shouting & taking interest in all that is going on around him.

Poor little Frediano. I’m glad he’s not limping anymore, that looked uncomfortable for him.
When I read your title “foot and pin feathers” I thought he was going to have pin feathers on his foot! 😀

Click bait! Who wouldn’t want to see pin feathers on a foot! :D Maybe I should have put a comma in that title somewhere!
