It has been awhile since I posted a ‘hybrid’ budgie picture. The see-saw swing with the central mirror can throw up some interesting combinations!

Don’t give up the day job, Moriarty!
Moriarty is a fan of shiny things. This was apparent quite early on. He was often playing with the bell at the bottom of his chewy toy & the bells on the bottom of his swing.
His mirror gets a lot of attention which is probably expected for a bird that was on his own.
I suspected he would appreciate the disco ball, which he does!

Recently, Lennie has been using the lantern mirror as a headrest. It does not look terribly comfortable to me but he seems content with it.
When he’s not in a snoozing mood, he likes to play with the beads attached to the mirror:
It is a well-liked mirror & both Lennie & Perry enjoy a chat with it too.
Following on from my post on Lennie’s pleasurable places, I will attempt to balance things out by reporting on Perry’s pleasurable places. Perry has not been anywhere near as prolific as Lennie in the wiggle/jiggle department, but has indulged nevertheless. His first foray into this habit was with the red mirror.

This post has been a long time coming & because of that, is quite long & video heavy. Warning over!
From early on, Lennie began to wiggle & jiggle when & where he could. He has come across as experimental but it is possible he has just not been fussed & made the most of whatever was available at the required time. In the following videos you can get a flavour of his open-mindedness.

They are all sweethearts (when they are not causing trouble) but for the purposes of this post, I am singling out Lennie Dennie, because he posed for some very nice photos in front of the red mirror.

The swinging perch with the mirror on the lower level has provided a fusion of the toyboys:
In a previous post, (click here) the ttmss swing provided us with the head of Bezukhov & body of Cagney. This time it was reversed: head of Cagney & body of Bezukhov.
Sometimes, when the toyboys are otherwise engaged, Phineas will tear himself away from monitoring them (mostly Cagney) & have a swing on the swinging perch. He usually chooses the lower rung to do this. He may even have a chat with the handsome dude in the mirror.
